For a nervous or reactive dog, “just meet in the lobby” may be a terrible plan. Owners and carers: where did you meet, how long did you allow, did you walk together first, and what made you cancel? Add the dog's size and triggers without turning this into a breed argument. We want practical handover routines that protect the dog, carer and neighbours.
