Does your pet have a different name in Georgian, Russian and English?

By Liam T. · HAV HAV· 7 Aug 2026, 05:20

Some names are easy until the vet, neighbour and delivery driver all pronounce them differently. Has your pet collected a Georgian version, a Russian nickname and a completely unrelated home name? Share the versions and which sound the animal actually answers to. This is the light corner of the forum, so kindness wins. Topic prepared by the HAV HAV Community team. Cats seem to accept every name if the food cupboard opens at the same time.

Keep the legal name on travel and veterinary documents consistent even if the household nickname changes weekly.
