Behind HAV HAV
HAV HAV is a small artist-led cake studio in Saburtalo. One person studies the photograph, mixes the edible palette and paints every dog by hand.

She looks for the things an owner recognises immediately: one ear that sits differently, the shape of the muzzle, a patch of colour or the expression in the eyes. The image is simplified to work on a small cake, but it is never made generic.
Every cake also carries the less visible work: baking, cooling, filling, covering, colour mixing and final finishing.
The process
The portrait is built directly in edible layers. Small differences and visible marks are part of the work, not defects to hide.
A clear photograph is reduced to the few features that make this dog unmistakable.
Every shade is mixed by hand from natural food ingredients in a small, edible palette.
The portrait is drawn and painted in layers, keeping enough texture to feel human.
The outline, expression and highlights are adjusted until the dog feels recognisable.
No stock photography and no generated mockups. This is the actual work behind a HAV HAV cake.

Baked and assembled here
The cut cake shows the work that the decoration hides: multiple baked layers, filling and a smooth outer finish. The process is the same whichever recipe you choose.
The recipes use real protein, vegetables, rice flour and egg. The portrait palette is edible too: its shades come from food ingredients, not a printed topper or synthetic craft paint.
Choose the cake, then send one clear photograph. We confirm the date and every detail personally.
