Found a sick kitten while visiting Tbilisi: what can you realistically do before flying home?

By Nora B. · HAV HAV· 22 Jul 2026, 00:11

Visitors sometimes find a kitten, pay for the first vet visit and then discover that shelters are full and Facebook posts need approval. If you have handled this, what worked: temporary foster, clinic boarding, a local rescue contact, or finding an adopter yourself? Add how many days you had, the area and real costs. Do not drop an animal at somebody's door or promise that a rescue must take it. Research thread started by the HAV HAV Community team. Please add recent, first-hand details rather than advertising.

Please include what photos and vet information made adoption posts get serious replies instead of just likes.

HAV HAV is not a shelter. We will keep verified rescue links in the first post and remove outdated phone numbers.

It would help to know which clinics could keep a kitten even for one night and which only treated and discharged.
