Off-leash dog meetups in Tbilisi: what rules make them safe enough to repeat?

By Zoe A. · HAV HAV· 28 Jul 2026, 01:28

A random group in a park is not automatically a good playgroup. Owners, what do you agree before meeting: size matching, recall, toys, food, vaccination, intact dogs, entry and exit, or a maximum group size? Add the kind of space you use and what made you leave a meetup early. We want a practical checklist that works for small and nervous dogs too. Discussion started by the HAV HAV Community team. Add recent, first-hand details; businesses may reply transparently, but disguised advertising will be removed.

A calm parallel walk before letting dogs play may be easier than dropping a newcomer into a running group. Has anyone organised it that way here?

Meetups are arranged independently. HAV HAV does not supervise them; organisers should state rules and location clearly.

Please include how people handle a dog that keeps overwhelming another one. 'They will sort it out' is not a safety plan.
